Insensitive Eyes, Ears, and Hearts

They say: "Our hearts are covered up against what you call us to, and there is a heaviness in our ears. There is a screen between us and you. So act - we are certainly acting." (Qur'an, 41:5) Allah has sealed up their hearts and hearing, and over their eyes is a blindfold. They will have a terrible punishment. (Qur'an, 2:7) We created many of the jinn and humanity for Hell. They have hearts with which they do not understand. They have eyes with which they do not see. They have ears with which they do not hear. Such people are like cattle. No, they are even further astray! They are the unaware. (Qur'an, 7:179)
