Samsung unveils a new feature to help people with color blindness
12:55:12 2023-06-27 1654

Samsung has officially announced a new feature within the accessibility features of TVs and screens, which is the “SeeColors Mode” feature to help people with color blindness – or a lack of color vision – to enjoy a better viewing experience.

According to what Samsung said on its official website, the SeeColors feature will provide users with nine images to choose from, and the feature adjusts red, green and blue color levels in order to ensure color vision distinction on the screen, depending on the degree and type of color blindness of the viewer.

The SeeColors feature was released as a separate application in 2017, before Samsung now decided to integrate it into the screens and TVs it produces, to make it easier for users to access it within the settings, and the new feature will arrive with an upcoming system update to all versions of the screens and TVs that Samsung introduced in 2023 until now.

It is noteworthy that Samsung had also introduced, earlier, the Relumino mode in some of its TVs to help people with low vision, as this mode works to select items, enhance contrast, adjust brightness, and improve colors, to make the content displayed on the screen more clear to the visually impaired.

Samsung said it had obtained a “color vision accessibility” certificate for the new features it offers in its products from TÜV Rheinland, a world-renowned German institution that provides quality and safety certifications in various industries.
