Contact by phone
11:5:38 2023-06-13 1129

Telephone communication saves us a lot of effort and time, and it can be said: None of us should go out of his home or work to do any job, which can be done by phone or copier (fax) or the like, because time is the most precious thing we have, and we must deal with it wisely and carefully.

But the phone as a means of communication, can be used in a way that saves us a lot, and we can use it in a way that kills our time or makes it a source of inconvenience to others; Therefore, there is a set of ideas and etiquette that help us to follow the best way to use this important device, which we drive through the following points:

We have to set the appropriate date and time for contacting others, as our contact time may be a time of intense work for them, or a time of sleep or time of eating meals... And not paying attention to that, will make our contact a source of disturbance or confusion to them, and the chances of them responding to us will be slim.

It will be important for us, before the call, to define the issues you want to talk about, the results we want to reach, or the things we want to convince those we called. And we must try not to deviate from what we have decided to determine as much as possible. Because that may distract the mind of whom we contacted, and forget the original topic of communication.

When the person we want to talk to answers the phone, it would be nice to take the initiative to ask him: Is this a good time to talk? We must show our willingness to contact him at another time. It is not appropriate to say to him: Are you busy, for he may not be busy, but he does not want to talk to anyone, so we force him to lie. The tact of a Muslim prevents him from embarrassing others.

If what we are going to say is important or accurate, it is better not to call the phone and arrange a meeting for that or send a written message. It would be useful to end the call in writing what was agreed upon if the conversation was related to a project, deal or agreement; a person may forget what he should remember after a while.
