Depression is a psychological state that a person goes through to express his sadness and anger. It may be very dangerous and requires medical care. If your bad mood continues to control you day after day, week after week, or turns into clear depression, you should see a doctor. You can also help yourself by doing the following:

First: Keep yourself busy with constructive work

Depression feeds on inactivity, and movement is its natural enemy. The more you are lazy, the more you desire to be lazy. To combat inactivity, you must write down a daily work schedule from morning to evening. Write down everything, including meals. Because if you are truly suffering from depression, small tasks will seem big to you. Break complex activities into small, discrete steps, so they seem more solvable.

Second: Help others

Doctors are increasingly believing in the effectiveness of the principle of (loving others) as a successful means of achieving better health. Volunteer work, social service, and other friendly behaviors - such as shopping for an elderly person, for example - can give good therapeutic results, as loneliness and isolation from people are a major cause of depression.

Third: Make joy an item on your agenda

Many people who suffer from depression give up entertainment that gives them pleasure, which makes things more complicated. To change your lifestyle, include joyful activities in your daily program, focus on social interaction, especially meetings with friends.

Fourth: Exercise regularly.

Scientists believe that exercises such as walking, running, swimming, and cycling enhance self-confidence, increase the sense of well-being, and strengthen determination. They help a person relax and relieve the tension that contributes to depression.

Fifth: Brighten your day

You can bring more light into your home by creating a brighter atmosphere inside, and by choosing an outdoor activity to practice during the day, such as walking or running, you get natural light during a certain period of time each day.

Sixth: Know your mood swings

People do not realize that their moods are always changing, and instead they believe that their lives have turned for the worse than before. Therefore, a man who has a good mood since morning may feel love towards his wife, his job and his loved ones, and may feel optimistic about his future and satisfied with his past.

Seventh: Make your hearts feel content and peaceful

Feeling content and peace is something that a person makes himself and is not something that befalls him without his will.

External things and different locations have only a very small role in giving us a good feeling. A person who feels serenity and contentment will be so no matter where he changes his locations and wherever he lives.
