The beauty of men is in their minds, this is one of the wisdoms that we inherited from the Imams of the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them), as the beauty of a man is not necessarily in his appearance, his clothing, the features of his face, the color of his skin, his height, and his weight, but rather his beauty is in the amount of his knowledge, science, and creativity. Here are several tips for developing the mind:
- The mind is like a plant that is weak and sluggish at birth, like a plant that collapses at its beginning, and it is in need of nourishment, and nourishing the mind with contemplation, because every human being is born with a small mind, just as is the case with a child. If he is provided with proper nutrition through education, upbringing and contemplation, his mind will grow and flourish.
- He who nourishes his mind more is naturally better than others. Whoever neglects his mind and does not nourish it, and does not develop his innate nature, will struggle.
- The wise man is guided by his mind in knowing his position in this world, the position he must take, and the path he must take. As for the one who neglects his mind and nature, he will, with the passage of time, fall behind the ranks of humanity, whether he wants it or not.
- Innate nature is stimulated by thinking, and the mind is stimulated by activation. Thinking is a self-directed method to increase the mind’s balance and expand its scope. Therefore, we see that the wise are always thinking.
- Thinking focuses the work of the mind, gathers the scattered senses of man, and directs them toward a specific issue, with which it is carried out and energies that are difficult to imagine emerge from it.
- Reading a book reduces stress and tension and develops mental capacity in people, and reading is a great way to stimulate the imagination.
