KINDNESS TOWARDS THE WAYFARERS
6:46:29 2023-07-24 1544

After the aforesaid people, wayfarers have been mentioned. Service to strangers and wayfarers has always been construed to be an act of virtue. Rest-houses were built for them; boarding and other facilities were provided for them. Now this tendency to serve the wayfarers has become extinct. Grand hotels have replaced these rest-houses. It is not feasible for everyone to take advantage of these hotels, and they do not solve all the problems of a traveler. A man away from home is faced with many problems. If he is travelling in a foreign land, international laws involve him in various kinds of difficulties. Viewed from this angle, present day traveler is subject to new sorts of problems. Islam makes the whole society responsible that it should help the traveler in the best possible manner so that he should not feel himself estranged and the purpose for which he had left back his home and hearth should not remain unfulfilled.
