Many people are looking for simple and effective ways to live a long life and maintain their overall health as much as possible, and this may be possible simply through your morning routine.
Nutrition expert Daniel Herrmann has revealed three essential elements that must be an integral part of the morning routine to ensure good health and live longer.
Hermann recommended: "Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up to hydrate your body after several hours of sleep. This helps kick-start your metabolism and digestion." He continued his advice by emphasizing the need to "incorporate physical activity into the morning routine," explaining: "Whether it's brisk walking, jogging, or cycling, regular exercise promotes cardiovascular health, boosts mood, and improves longevity."
The third important tip was to "spend some time outdoors or near a window soaking up the natural sunlight".
"Sun exposure helps regulate the circadian rhythm, boosts vitamin D production, and positively influences mood and overall health," Herrmann explained.
Additional advice from Hermann includes planning your day in the morning, setting your goals, prioritizing tasks, and scheduling the day.
Hermann noted that this "helps create a sense of direction and purpose, increase productivity and reduce stress."
He added that people should "reduce exposure to electronic devices" in the early hours of the day.
"Instead, focus on activities that promote mental clarity and relaxation."
The NHS explains how hydration, exercise and exposure to vitamin D helps promote health and longevity, saying that "most people should aim to drink enough water during the day so that their urine is a clear pale yellow colour".
