Education based on instinct

Islam came with an educational program organized on the basis of the nature of faith, in order to build a righteous nation that embraces a generation of young people who believe in Allah and the judgment day. Islam relies in its program on the strength of the moral conscience that Allah Almighty implanted in our souls, with the aim of building a society governed by human qualities and moral traits.

Exploitation of the religious sense:

In its educational program, Islam did not ignore the religious sense of young people, as it entrusted them with performing a series of religious obligations just to open up in their depths the desire for religious knowledge naturally. Islam also supported people's faith in Allah Almighty through the daily acts of worship that He imposed on them.

Modify desires:

In educating the young generation, Islam stems from their desires for moral and religious knowledge, and it contributes, by satisfying these spiritual desires, to modifying all the natural desires of young people, and preventing them from rebellion and chaos.

Islamic law confirms that belief in Allah and satisfying religious feelings are the two guarantees for the success of all ethical and educational curricula and schools, and warns people against the dangers of drifting into the stream of vices and sins.

The young man who wants to be brought up in an aura of moral and human qualities, and aspires to have a distinguished moral personality, and aspires to be able to curb his desires and psychological whims in emotional states, in order to live a life full of purity, virtue and integrity, must respond immediately upon reaching the call of faith and conscience. He should strive, since the desire for religious knowledge blossoms in his depths, to acquire the correct beliefs and sound moral teachings, and to adhere to the strong rope of Allah, to satisfy that innate desire in himself, and to strengthen the spiritual relationship between him and his Creator, and to remember Him in all circumstances.

Follow the law of instinct:

As for educators who want to prepare a competent and good generation of young people, they must follow the law of instinct and formation, and reconcile their educational programs with the innate desires of young people.

Reviving the faith and moral desires of young people, and satisfying their feelings towards religious knowledge, are considered obedience to the law of creation and formation system. Not paying attention to these desires, and suppressing those feelings, is considered a clear violation of the law of instinct and the system of formation, and there is no doubt that rebellion against this law will have unbearable consequences, and that the rebel must inevitably receive his punishment.

One of the social problems:

The issue of youth, which is at the forefront of the most important problems that societies in developed countries suffer from today, has attracted great attention from senior scholars and thinkers because of its great importance, as accurate statistics confirm that the number of crimes committed by young people in Western countries doubles every year. And these young people have become accustomed to chaos and disobedience, and they are addicted to reprehensible things as a result of their lack of faith and poor upbringing.

And practices that are contrary to law and morals, such as violating the sanctity of the law, disobedience, theft, aggression, infringement of the rights of others, abandoning knowledge, addiction to drugs, abuse of intoxicants, immorality and other sins and misdeeds, all of these practices have become rampant among the younger generation, and the reason for that is education based on lack of faith and rebellion against the law.

The sins that are committed out of unbelief must ultimately lead to the perpetrator and those around him, whether on the level of the family or society, towards unhappiness and misery.
