The most important issue in social life is how can we build from the sum of the small, dispersed and numerous social units, a larger and larger unified society? The human society - since its early days - took the form of multiplicity and dispersal into small and large units. The following factors are among the causes of this division and multiplicity.
1- Race (element):
The same family ramifies into different families, the whole of which constitutes the people or the tribe, which in turn constitutes the one society.
In fact, the tribal racial character represents the social character of man, and tribes and nationalities are still the basis of many backward societies, and the issue may be more difficult than this in some cases when some tribes refuse to intermarry with each other, to remain a closed social unit.
2- Geographical environment:
The different tribes mixed with each other by nationality and blood little by little and formed larger social units that differed from their counterparts in geographical areas.
Geographical borders were natural in the beginning, such as a deep valley, a great river, or tall mountains separating two nations, then agreements emerged, and borders and natural barriers lost their importance little by little, but natural barriers still constitute geographical borders in many parts of the world such as England, France, and China. Japan, but not in most countries of the world.
3- Creed (ideology):
Finally, thought and belief became the basis for the formation of societies in developed nations, so man quickly realized that race and tribe cannot prevent the unity of human beings, and there is no doubt about the increase in common factors between people of one blood in terms of physical and spiritual aspects, but this does not prevent them from mingling with others.
Likewise, it was easily realized that the difference in geographical areas (including natural and artificial) could not be a factor for division, especially since the ease of means of transportation had dissolved this barrier and brought the geographical distances closer completely.
So societies gradually turned into ideological and intellectual societies, and intellectual borders replaced the previous borders. The best example of this is the division of the current countries of the world into two sides, communist and material (before the collapse of the communist side).
Although the perception that prevailed at the beginning was that these divided sides would stay like that forever, and the issue of the non-reconciliation of these two camps was inevitable, but it soon became clear that it was more artificial than what was realistic.
In the face of the intellectual and doctrinal differences that exist between the different groups, there are thousands of common factors that could be the nucleus of the unity of humanity and the union of human souls and bodies, which leads to their participation in various goals.
Calls for unity have escalated among societies despite their different systems and ideas, and today they are gradually entering the stage of implementation.
Although the conflicting interests of peoples and the lack of intellectual maturity necessary to educate and direct them still prevent these dispersed societies from uniting with each other to form a larger society based on the unity of the human race, it is clear that any one of the factors of division that we mentioned was not real and cannot be overcome. This awareness is sufficient to pave the way for a brighter future.
Thus, it proves to us the possibility of merging human societies into one society.
