How to deal with people who make a mistake
Some approaches can have a negative effect leading to people getting hurt and feeling desperate and unproductive. One of these approaches is showing people their mistakes in direct and blunt way, making them feel how big their mistakes are and how unredeemable they are.
For example, a carpenter who works in his workshop asks his apprentice to make a table, when the apprentice completes the task it is seems that the table is not well made and needs improvement. The carpenter proceeds to scold his apprentice and tells him that he doesn't know anything about carpentry and should leave all together.
The carpenters approach not only doesn't fix the table, but also leaves the apprentice in a desperate state leading to loosing passion for the job or quitting all together. Alternatively, if the carpenter said I wasn’t lucky as well when I started out in this profession and I hope you have a good future in it, but maybe we should make this table a bit stronger.
This is the case in all areas of dealing with people. It is better not to make their mistakes, and missteps uncorrectable, and we should make them seem easy to correct.
Even in the field of dealing with business, showing that it is difficult and unmanageable may give rise to a feeling of inability or weakness in the ability to do it, while making it appear easy and manageable is a good method because it is well tolerated by the one who is assigned to do it.
If one wants to warn others without making them angry, then he should be wise in making their mistakes easy to correct, not exaggerating them, and showing that the actions he wants them to do are easy.
