				Fuzzy Logic

An extension of two-valued logic such that statements need not be true or false, but may have a degree of truth between 0 and 1. Such a system can be extremely useful in designing control logic for real-world systems such as elevators.
In the Season 4 opening episode "Trust Metric" (2007) of the television crime drama NUMB3RS, math genius Charlie Eppes attempts to use fuzzy logic in an attempt to construct a trust metric telling how much fugitive and alleged traitor Colby Granger can be trusted.
