Four ways to reform deviated young people

The issue of raising and reforming youth is one of the duties that fall on the shoulders of parents, and one of the individual and social necessities. Continuing on the deviant path that they have become accustomed to is not something that is easy to ignore at this stage of life marked by formation and shaping. We must not be lenient with deviation; because a life that is based on false foundations will inevitably develop, and thus we see them as professional criminals who cause harm to themselves and to people in particular. Among the methods of reform are:

 First: Reviving the personality: From the beginning, we must revive hope in their souls and give them a sense of dignity and sufficient respect, so that they feel that they are more honorable than to pollute themselves with corrupting sin.

Second: Strengthening the conscience: It is necessary in education and reform to move the dormant and anesthetized consciences, because it is an innate part of the human being that is never erased, but forgotten. The consciences of deviants are weakened by wrong suggestions, so there is a void in their selves that can be filled through advice, instructions and education, until we reach what we want from moving this conscience. The consciences of these people are moved, especially for those who have not drowned in deviance, so we push him to judge his actions and ask himself about the mistakes.

 Third: Accepting deviants: When young people commit some mistakes, we should not quickly issue a condemnation against them and consider them among the rejected, without asking them about the reasons or getting to know their conditions. And rejection certainly does not correct any deviation or treat any defect, and circumstances rarely occur that return him to the right path.

 Fourth: Praising good qualities: The young people who slip were not completely without good qualities, but some of them have good qualities. In order to eliminate deviation, one way to do so is to praise the good qualities, just as we are supposed to criticize the bad qualities without direct reference, then seek to solve the problems.
