Family is the house of divine light

The true Islamic religion is an integrated system of ideal values that Allah Almighty has inspired to humanity, so that it may be happy in this world and succeed in the hereafter. However, these values must have a context that accommodates them, a framework that protects them, and a wall that preserves them. This wall is the family:

Among the factors that preserve the family are:

First: The first factor that preserves the family is the person’s home and family, and his familial and educational environment. Whoever grows up in a good family environment will have achieved the first factors of maintaining his values without collapsing. While whoever lives without a home and without a family or refuses to belong to the father or mother or both together, it will be difficult for him and others to imagine how he can maintain his ideal principles.

Second: The supreme model of these homes filled with light and blessed divine guidance is the house of the message; the house of our Prophet Muhammad and his family, Ali, Fatima, Hassan and Hussein, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon them all. This house is the lamp, the niche, and the center of the divine light in the universe. It was thus because in it was glorification of Allah in the morning and evening.

Third: The men of Allah did not become what they are until after their upbringing was sound; meaning that their fathers and mothers provided them with the requirements of sound awareness of the religious and faith direction. The closer the family is to the guidance of revelation and to the teachings of the People of the House, peace be upon them, the more it will be a center and axis of the light of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted. The further it strays from the teachings of revelation, the more it sinks into the mire of ignorance.

Fourth: We should keep in mind the good example and the bad model, then choose for our children what Allah has commanded us to choose. This is the house of Fatima al-Zahra - peace be upon her - which Allah has given us as an example of light and dignity, and that is the house of Abu Sufyan which Allah has described as the evil tree, and given us as an example of baseness and corruption.. Let us see what we choose.

Fifth: If you see men who practice backbiting and slander, who are afflicted with laziness and backwardness and do not think about this world or the hereafter, then you should search for the roots, for you will certainly find them in their homes. And if you see men with healthy souls, good hearts, and good conduct and image, then also search for the roots, for you will certainly find them in their homes.
