Society does not value education, that is, the art of raising a child so that he becomes capable and happy when he reaches the age of majority. In any case, there are many people who have children, and every parent must be able to raise children. Isn't that true? In fact, changes in society and in twenty-first century families have made raising a boy into a confident and successful man more challenging than it was before.
Work gives you the feeling that you have accomplished something worthy of praise. You receive good feedback at the right time and you also receive a reward for the work you do, but education does not give you such immediate rewards. You must have confidence in yourself and your children and believe that your efforts will be appreciated one day.
Think a little about the most difficult moments you experienced as a mother. Most parents admit that they have had times when they struggled while being loving, patient, kind, and firm. There is no doubt that you have experienced times when you failed to do what you thought you should do, and you lived through times when you did not know what to do next or when to admit that you made a mistake.
Perhaps it is useful for you to know that perfection is not in human nature, and that making mistakes brings you closer to your human nature. Know that perfection is not one of the conditions required to be a good mother. You will never be perfect and this applies to your son as well. Instead of blaming yourself for mistakes, failure, and poor judgment, stop for a moment and give yourself some credit because you were there, because you gave love and acceptance, and because you did your best to raise a capable and competent young man in this difficult world.
Doing the right thing seems easy when we read about it in a book or watch an expert on television. But life in reality is different from books or television. Raising a son becomes more difficult when you have to face the difficulties of daily life with an active and inquisitive boy and you are forced to make decisions that help him learn basic life skills. You must have done your best in raising your son; No one can do more than this.
Use your good judgment to guide your son
Ultimately, you must remember that you have to decide what is most important. Review the list of traits you made for your son’s personality. Did he achieve most of it? If you are like most families, the path must have witnessed successes and failures. You have dreams and fears about your son, and you will never stop caring about him, regardless of what he achieves and the direction he takes.
There are no guarantees when raising a boy. He has wonderful strengths and some weaknesses, and so do you. Learn to listen to the sound of your heart. The love you have for your son, your knowledge of the man he will become, and your inner wisdom will guide you to know what to do.
