The relationship of ethics to education
Education is considered one of the most important matters that every human being faces, and if we want to interpret it in its broad sense, we have to say: It is the goal of creating all beings in the world.
All the efforts and endeavors of Allah’s prophets, scholars and greats in history have been summed up in this issue, and there is no way to build a prosperous, secure, calm and happy human society except through proper education and mobilizing all forces and capabilities in this way.
The ultimate goal of moral lessons also, after explaining and clarifying all the virtuous and vice moral faculties, the reasons for their emergence and the rooting of their roots, and the way to acquire virtues and fight against vices, is correct education.
What is education?
Some psychologists said: Education is a preparation to obtain the truth and take responsibility in the future life.
While others said: «It is about preparations and the use of internal forces to reach a certain goal.
Others, such as the famous psychologist John Dewey, say: “Education is about reconsidering past experiences and refining them again in order to give greater results and prepare the individual to influence future experiences”.
In our belief, the three definitions mentioned above look at one fact, the third definition is its origin, in fact, the first definition is its premise, and the second definition is its consequence.
By the way, and to clarify the third definition, it must be said: Human actions are of two types:
1- Educational work.
2- Ordinary work devoid of purpose and education.
