In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon you all.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful, Respected viewers, brothers and sisters in Islam, Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you all.
Allah has blessed humans with many different emotions. It is through these emotions that we observe the world and understand each other. Each emotion offers some profit to man if used correctly. But equally, there is the grave danger of provoking harm if they are used incorrectly. Harm will be inflicted not only on others but also will backfire on the inflictor. Anger is an emotion known to cause stress, depression, and great regret. It is known to be one of the worst characteristics an individual can possess. Anger allows humans to be extremely weak that their ability to see right from wrong is blurred. They do as their Shaytan tells them, they scream, curse, and even hurt others physically.
Anger to a certain extent, like any other emotion, can be used in a positive way. For instance standing up for what is right, and confronting oppression, evil and corruption.
A true believer must learn how to cope and control their anger. Once a man approached the Messenger of Allah (s) and asked: “Advise me”. Then the Messenger of Allah (s) said: “Do not be angry”. The man repeated the same question and (the Prophet) again said: “Do not be angry,” and continued: “He is not strong and powerful who throws people down but he is strong who withholds himself from anger.”
A faithful individual should have a strong will not to become angry over everything but only when he sees evil deeds or corruption, which he should try to reform. A believer is one who forgives and tolerates people's mistakes because Allah loves those who forgive others and will reward them on the Day of Resurrection. Almost all of the heinous crimes committed in human history were during a moment of rage. It is during these critical moments that one should remember and obey Allah.
Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (AS) said: "Anger is the key (that opens the door) to all kinds of vices."
A person given to anger behaves unreasonably like a lunatic without rationally considering the outcome of his actions. He commits ugly and indecent acts and his tongue, limbs, and body go out of his control.  Imam Ali (AS) said: “Protect yourself from anger for its beginning is insanity and its end is remorse.”
It is reported from Imam al‑Baqir (AS): “It is recorded in the Torah regarding which God Almighty confided to Moses (a), saying: "O Moses, control your anger towards those over whom I have given you authority, so that I may spare you from My Wrath."
The Ahlul-Bayt (AS) have a perfect solution for anger, Imam al-Baqir (AS) said “…Whosoever is angry with someone let him sit down immediately if he is standing; for, indeed, doing so will repel from him the uncleanliness of Satan. And whoever gets angry with his family member, let him approach and (gently) touch him; for the feeling of family affiliation, when stimulated by touch, induces calmness.”
Imam Ali (AS) said “When a person gets angry, if he is standing, he should immediately lie down (sit down) on earth for a while as this removes the filth of Satan from him at that time."
Among the fundamental remedies of anger is to get rid of the factors responsible for its provocation. These factors include self‑love, which in turn causes love of wealth, glory, and honour, and the desire to impose one's will and expand one's domain of power on the creatures of God.
To conclude Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (AS) said: “A mu’min (believer) is the person who when angered, his anger doesn’t lead him away from that which is true...”
With this we pray that Allah gives us the power to control and overcome our anger.
