The Martyrdom of Imam Hassan al-Askari is commemorated every year on the eighth day of the third month in the Islamic calendar, the month of Rabi al-Awwal. A descendant of the prophet Muhammad, al-Askari is regarded as the eleventh of the Twelve Imams. At the young age of 28, al-Askari died on the eighth day in the month of Rabi al-Awwal. Most Shias believe that death of the Imam was caused by poisoning at the behest of al-Mu’tamid, the Abbasid caliph.

Samarra, the area in which Imam Hasan and his father Imam al-Hadi were forced to live in, was also known as the Askar (Military) because the ruler had his military stationed there. Based on the Imam’s association with that particular spot, he was referred to as al-Askari. As a celebrated saint, Imam Hasan al-Askari was also referred to as al-Zaki (the one of spiritual purity and growth)

Freezing meat safely
It is safe to freeze raw meat providing that you:
freeze it before the "use by" date
date and label meat in the freezer, following any freezing or thawing instructions on the packaging
defrost meat in the microwave, using the defrost setting, if you are going to cook it straight away
thaw meat fully in a fridge, if you want to defrost it and cook it later – keep it in the fridge and use it within 2 days of defrosting

if you cook meat that you are not going to eat straight away, cool it as quickly as possible and then put it in the fridge or freezer – remember to keep cooked meat separate from raw meat and only reheat cooked meat once.

Storing meat safely
It is important to store and prepare meat safely to stop bacteria from spreading and to avoid food poisoning:
store raw meat or raw poultry in clean sealed containers on the bottom shelf of the fridge, so the meat cannot touch or drip onto other food
follow any storage instructions on the label and do not eat meat after its "use by" date
store red meat or raw poultry in a freezer before its "use by" date

Dwelling on what you did wrong does not help you achieve goals. However, focusing on what you can do now and in the future helps you to. Instead of letting the rock in your path stop your journey, focus on moving forward and learning how to better deal with rocks in the future.

If you currently eat more than 90g (cooked weight) of red or processed meat a day, the Department of Health and Social Care advises that you cut down to 70g.
90g is equivalent to around 3 thinly cut slices of beef, lamb or pork, where each slice is about the size of half a piece of sliced bread. A cooked breakfast containing 2 typical British sausages and 2 rashers of bacon is equivalent to 130g.

Make sure that when you go to bed you feel you have accomplished something that day - it does not have to be something life changing in itself, but making the effort to be a little nicer or read a few more pages of that book every day will have more of an impact than occasional large things.
