Les Hewitt narrates: One morning I was flying to another city to run a workshop for a group of businessmen. The plane's take-off was delayed for more than an hour due to snow storms. The plane took off after that, and when it was preparing to land at the international airport on the outskirts of the city, it was eight thirty in the morning. The workshop was scheduled to begin at nine o'clock in the morning. After that, the pilot of the plane told us that we could not land because of the heavy fog, and that we would continue flying to the local airport in the city center.
"Great, that place is much closer to where I want to go," I thought to myself, and started getting ready to get off the plane. After the plane landed, its pilot told us that there are no equipment at this airport to take care of luggage and travel bags, so the plane will refuel again and wait until the fog clears from the airspace of the international airport and then we head back, then he added, saying: (until the fog clears, I think you are trapped in this plane) Wonderful choice of words.
This gave me another great opportunity to ask. I called the hostess and explained that I only had a handbag and that the meeting had only fifteen minutes left to begin. The hostess agreed to ask the captain of the plane if he could consider this exceptional case of mine and allow me to leave the plane. The flight attendant returned a few minutes later, smiling, opening the plane door and descending the stairs. Until then, none of the passengers had moved. While I was going down, I glanced back and saw many businessmen asking for the same request as me. It had not occurred to them that in order to change their condition, they would only have to ask.
