The engineering staff at the al-Abbas (peace be upon him) holy shrine began working on the project of the courtyard and basement of Umm al-Banin (peace be upon her), which is located north of the holy shrine on the side of Baghdad Gate area.
Hussein Muhammad Baqir, the resident engineer of the project, told Karbala TV that: (The court is located on an approximate area of 10,000 square meters and includes a basement as well, surmounted by pavilions of a beautiful architectural style that bears the Islamic character, especially the inscriptions in order to match what is in the holy shrine).
Baqer added that: (The aim of establishing this courtyard is to accommodate the increasing number of visitors, especially on the days when there are millions of visitors, and it contains service facilities, and if completed, it will provide a great service for visitors to the Holy Shrine).
