Mental health issues

As learners with ASD move into their teenage years, they may become more aware of their difference from others and their isolation. Consideration must be given to the quality of life that the learner has and what opportunities in the school and broader community may be exploited to improve this. Being part of a group and having something enjoyable to look forward to can keep morale high and prevent depression.
